Product FAQ
Attractor product FAQ.
Short answers covering the product, supported sources, Calendar write-back, Focus Awareness, AI model paths, and macOS requirements.
What is Attractor?
Attractor is a Mac-native focus cockpit that connects local tasks, optional imported tasks, a free focus timer, Calendar write-back, and optional Focus Awareness signals.
Which task sources does Attractor support?
Attractor supports Obsidian and Todoist task import in the Pro layer, with the import layer designed to expand to more work sources.
Does Attractor sync with Calendar?
Yes. The current Calendar feature writes completed focus sessions to Calendar. It does not plan sessions from Calendar events yet.
Is the focus timer free?
Yes. The focus and break timer is part of the free plan. Focus Awareness and nudges belong to Pro.
What does Focus Awareness read?
Focus Awareness reads session signals such as app context, switches, and activity counts. It does not record typed text. Screen OCR is on-device, permission-gated, and user-controlled.
Can AI checks run locally?
Yes. Attractor can use a fully offline local MLX model, or it can use an OpenAI-compatible BYOK endpoint.
What macOS version is required?
Attractor is built for macOS 14 or later.
